Terms of Service
Last updated: October 19, 2026
These Terms govern your use of Can I Carry There? (the "Service"), operated by [COMPANY NAME LLC] ("CanICarryThere", "we", "us"). By using the Service or signing up for alerts you agree to these Terms.
1. Information only — not legal advice
The Service gives general information about concealed-carry laws, reciprocity and restricted places. It is not legal advice, does not create an attorney-client relationship, and is not a substitute for advice from a licensed attorney or for reading the law yourself.
2. No guarantee of accuracy
Gun laws change often, vary by city and county, and are affected by court decisions, signs, and property owners' rules. Place types are detected automatically from map data and can be wrong. We do not guarantee that any information is complete, current, or accurate, and some states are marked "verify" because their laws are in flux. Always confirm with official state sources before you carry.
3. You are responsible
You alone are responsible for knowing and obeying every federal, state and local law that applies to you, including permit, age, transport, storage and duty-to-inform rules, and for any decision to carry a firearm. Do not rely on the Service as your only source.
4. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent the law allows, the Service is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, and [COMPANY NAME LLC] and its owners, employees and partners will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, or for any fines, arrests, charges, legal costs, or other losses arising from your use of or reliance on the Service. The Service is provided free of charge, and our total liability for any claim is limited to $50.
5. Free service, sponsored and affiliate links
- The Service is free to use. No account, subscription or payment is needed to search.
- Law-change email alerts are optional and free; you can unsubscribe anytime.
- The Service may contain sponsored or affiliate links, and we may earn a commission if you buy through them, at no extra cost to you. A sponsored link is not a recommendation or legal advice, and we are not responsible for third-party products, services or websites.
6. Your information
Give accurate information about your permits and keep it up to date. You must be legally allowed to possess a firearm to rely on any carry information. We may limit or end access for misuse or abuse of the Service.
7. Changes
We may update the Service or these Terms. If we make material changes we'll update the date above; continuing to use the Service means you accept the updated Terms.
